Our Gourmet Addresses
Live Boulogne like a local. A discerning selection, all within a 5-minute walk of your suite.
The Morning Must: Maison Bréfort
35 Grande Rue (in the continuation of Rue de Lille)
The benchmark address for breakfast, praised by the Gault & Millau guide.
The Écrins tip: this is where to fetch the still-warm "Tradition" baguette and pure-butter pastries. The perfect wake-up.
The Aperitif: La Cave de Monsieur Guy
4 Rue de Lille
A genuine institution in the heart of the old town. You come for the warm atmosphere, the superb interior courtyard and their house-brewed beers.
The Écrins tip: order one of their generous sharing boards. The ideal spot to soak up Boulogne's conviviality before dinner.
The Signature Table: L'Îlot Vert
Rue de Lille
If you are after a refined culinary experience. Chef Tony Régnier (formerly Michelin-starred) offers a creative, vibrant "bistronomic" cuisine bursting with sea flavours.
The Écrins tip: the setting is intimate and contemporary. Signature cuisine that elevates the produce of the Opal Coast. Booking is essential.
The Relaxed Alternative: Papi Henri
39 Rue de Lille
Craving a fuss-free yet high-quality dinner? Forget the usual fast food. Here, the burger goes "gourmet".
The Écrins tip: bakery buns, pedigree meats and local cheeses (Mimolette, Vieux-Boulogne). A tasty, comforting option, perfect for a laid-back evening or a late arrival.
Our Seaside Escapes
Venturing beyond the ramparts. Our sure bets in the lower town and on the harbour for the region's finest seafood.
The Fishermen's Institution: Le Châtillon
Capécure district (Rue Charles Tellier)
Set at the heart of the bustling fishing port, this is the authentic haunt of sailors and true connoisseurs. Open only at lunchtime, this legendary restaurant simply serves the freshest fish in Boulogne-sur-Mer.
The Écrins tip: authenticity at its purest. A full immersion in the atmosphere of France's leading fishing port — come for an unforgettable sole meunière or turbot.
The Seafood Bistro: Le Nord-Oué
65 Rue des Pipots (town centre)
A discreet but formidably effective address. The chef offers a small, perfectly mastered menu showcasing ultra-fresh, seasonal seafood. Lunch service only.
The Écrins tip: the ideal stop for a top-quality lunch in the town centre, far from the tourist traps. Let the day's suggestions guide you with eyes closed.
The Confidential Address: Les Copines
12 Rue Faidherbe
A vibrant address we are especially fond of. The perfect place for a drink in an elegant, warm setting (recently beautifully renovated), or to nibble on excellent produce in a convivial atmosphere.
The Écrins tip: one of our favourite recommendations, whispered to us by a close friend of the house. The perfect spot for an extended end-of-day aperitif before heading back up to the Haute-Ville.
Daily Life
Everything you need to settle comfortably into the neighbourhood.
Launderette
Laverie du Centre — 62 Rue de Lille, 62200 Boulogne-sur-Mer
A few metres from Les Écrins. Should your stay stretch on and you wish to refresh your clothes and linens, this is the address to remember: handy, clean, and right on the doorstep.
Everyday Shopping
Carrefour Express — 31 Rue Porte Neuve
For everyday essentials, open until 8 PM. For fruit, vegetables and regional produce, head to the Place Dalton market — Wednesday and Saturday mornings, 8 AM to 1 PM.
Parking
Parking de l'Enclos de l'Évêché • Esplanade Mariette
Parking is paid within the ramparts. The Parking de l'Enclos de l'Évêché (130 spaces) is right nearby — the one we recommend. The Esplanade Mariette (344 spaces) is a good alternative for longer stays.
Fish Market
Quai Gambetta — at the port of Boulogne
Every morning, Boulogne's fishermen display their catch of the day on the stalls of Quai Gambetta. Fresh fish, shellfish and seafood — arrive early for the best choice. On Sunday mornings, a regional produce market sets up alongside, 8 AM to 12:30 PM.
Culture & Discoveries
Beyond the ramparts, the adventure continues.
Urban Boldness: Street Art
Boulogne-sur-Mer has become a world reference for urban art — a genuine open-air museum. Around every corner, discover more than 80 monumental frescoes signed by the greatest international artists. A striking dialogue between historic architecture and contemporary creativity.

Official Museums website →The Belfry
The former Romanesque keep, a UNESCO World Heritage site, towers over the town at 50 metres. A climb well worth the detour: panoramic views over the ramparts and the Channel. Guided visit — €5 adult, free for under-12s.
Information & hours →Cap Blanc-Nez & Cap Gris-Nez
Two iconic headlands of the Opal Coast, around twenty minutes' drive from Les Écrins. Cap Blanc-Nez and its chalk cliffs facing the Channel — then Cap Gris-Nez, the westernmost point of France, facing England. An unforgettable walk along the coastal paths.
